Dr. Timothy Patitsas tells us in his book, The Ethics of Beauty, that “Trauma is a liar.” Our past experiences in this broken world distort the reality of Christ, who can lead us to walk on the water and can rescue us when we are drowning. We need to be reminded constantly of this truth. God has not left us in the wildnerness alone, His truth is in the Psalms, in the narrative of our Faith and in the Eucharist we receive weekly.
