Throughout the Gospels, Jesus calls His disciples to stay awake. In many of His parables, the enemy comes when the faithful are either asleep or not paying attention. It is our souls we must pay attention to. Examining our hearts for the pride that lulls us into forgetting that Christ Himself is our salvation and not what we have earned. In today’s Gospel, we have the chance to meditate on how this may be impacting our own walk with Christ. Peace, Fr. Cliff+
